Sneha Asalkar and Pallavi Ahad, are a part of the Kishori Group facilitated by our partner Canossa Jeevan Vikas Kendra, Mahakali. Andheri (East).  When they joined the group, both girls were shy and lacked confidence. While Pallavi lacked communication skills and had fear of the stage, Sneha on the other hand was timid and fearful, her home was her only security.

Both were regular members of the Kishori Group and being a part of this group and undergoing all the sessions related to personality development, tree of life and other sessions, helped them come out of their shells, motivated them, and built their confidence.

Sneha got enrolled in the Capacity Building Program conducted by CSA in July 2022. Her voluntary involvement in the various activities and programs of CJVK and interactions with others helped shape her personality and has enthused her to take up Bachelors in Social Work (BSW).

Pallavi did a short-term beautician course with Kotak Foundation.  This gave her the required knowledge and skills needed to pursue her passion. During the CSA and CJVK programs, she handled the makeup of all the participants who performed on the stage.

In April 2023, Sneha applied for BSW at Nirmala Niketan College and now she is eagerly looking forward to pursuing a career in social work. Pallavi aspires to become a professional makeup artist and set up her own venture and she has planned all this with confidence that she never exhibited before.
