The floods in Mahad have taken a toll on the people and they are going through difficult times. While life is slowly limping back to normalcy and electricity has been restored in a few places, water is still a concern and the piled up garbage is causing discomfort to the people. All the houses and shops have been badly affected.

A needs assessment was done by a team of priests and nuns working in Raigad after visiting a few areas that were badly affected and a phase wise relief activity has been planned.

In Phase I
1) 6200 packets of cooked food have been distributed
2) 1550 dry ration kits have been distributed, which should last for about 15 days.

In the 2nd phase, distribution of bedsheets, towels, toiletries, mats, women’s garments, innerwear’s, sanitary pads etc.  has started. The distribution of dry ration kits also continues. The priests, nuns and other church volunteers are responding to the needs of the people. There is a lot that needs to be done and we need your support to assist the people to get back on their feet as soon as possible.
