This Silver Jubilee Documentary highlights the work done by the Centre for Social Action over the past 25 years in Raigad, Thane and Mumbai districts. We orient our social work to a Development Approach by creating opportunities for the underprivileged i.e., bringing the poor together to form Self-Help Groups, equipping them for income generation activities (e.g., tailoring classes, beautician’s courses, pickle making, etc.), supporting them to market their products through Navjeevan Social Enterprise Foundation, and so on where the approach (or perspective) maintained is that of ‘Community-Led Development’.
